About Us

College Building The Irish Baptist College is the official training department of the Association of Baptist Churches in Ireland.  While existing primarily to serve the needs of our own churches and missions department, IBC welcomes candidates from all kinds of Christian backgrounds, and the suitability of its courses for the equipping of men and women for the whole spectrum of Christian service is recognised widely.

Students and staff 2006 /2007The college has a warm family atmosphere, and one advantage of our relatively small size (up to 50 full-time students) is that each student is guaranteed individual attention and pastoral care.  IBC is committed to the absolute authority of Scripture and to the outworking of all matters of faith and practice within a purely evangelical framework.

The College campus is part of the new Baptist Centre opened in May 2003 near Moira, County Down, Northern Ireland.  It is situated in quiet and attractive surroundings near to the M1 motorway and within the boundaries of the City of Lisburn.
Just 15 miles from Belfast, the new complex offers students the best of both worlds - peace and quiet in which to study and reflect, and convenience to major travel routes and facilities.
